One register for every policy
Each policy gets its own number when you create it, and holds the client, the insurer, the product line, the premium, the start and expiry dates and a status (draft, active, expired or cancelled).
Policies, clients, claims files, renewals and commissions in one account: no spreadsheet, no separate tools.
A brokerage lives on dates and percentages: when each policy expires, what each claim is waiting for and what commission is still owed. 4insurance keeps those in one place instead of a spreadsheet and a mailbox.
Each policy gets its own number when you create it, and holds the client, the insurer, the product line, the premium, the start and expiry dates and a status (draft, active, expired or cancelled).
Insurers are records with a contact e-mail and phone, so every policy points to the company it is placed with. Product lines such as motor third-party liability (RCA), CASCO, home, life and health can be loaded in one click, each with a default commission rate.
Each product line carries a default commission rate. The policy takes it and the commission amount is calculated from the premium when the policy is created. When the insurer pays, you mark the commission as settled.
A client is an individual or a company, with a tax ID, e-mail and phone. When you create a policy you pick the client by name, and that name is shown on the policy, its claims and its renewal.
A claim is opened against a policy and gets its own number. It records the type, the claimed amount and a description, and moves through open, in review, approved, rejected, paid and closed. The closing date is stamped when it is paid, rejected or closed.
When a policy is active and has an expiry date, a renewal task is created for that date. You work the list by hand and mark each renewal as renewed or lost.
Set how many days before expiry you want to be reminded (for example 30, 15 and 7), the preferred channel and a message template. 4insurance stores this rule; it does not send the messages.
The overview shows active policies, premium and commission in the pipeline, open claims and renewals due in 30 days. The reports page adds premium on active policies by product line and by insurer, the top clients and renewal buckets.
Add the insurers you work with and load the standard product lines; each policy then starts from the line's default commission rate.
Create the client, then the policy: pick the insurer and the product, enter premium and dates. The number and the commission are filled in for you.
Active policies feed the renewal list. Open a claims file when something happens and keep its status current until it is paid or closed.
Open the overview and the reports for premium and expected commission, and the commissions page to see what has been settled.
